What makes it unique

Held at the port, a short walk from central Alicante

DEKA is Spartan’s functional fitness race: 10 zones (row, SkiErg, sled, medicine ball, box jumps…) that are the same all over the world, so your time compares with any DEKA. What changes between formats is how much you run before each zone.

In Alicante the DEKA FIT team heats and DEKA MILE Teams run on Saturday; on Sunday it is DEKA MILE, the DEKA FIT Elite and the Age Group heats. Times are provisional until the Athlete Guide is out.

A DEKA takes less than an hour, but the weekend starts well before that: getting to Alicante, sleeping near the port, eating properly between heats and heading home without worrying about the car.

Alicante-Elche airport is about 12 km from the port, roughly 20 minutes by road, and Alicante station has direct AVE high-speed trains from Madrid. Muelle Live sits on Muelle 12 de Levante, a short walk from the Explanada and the city centre.

If you make your own way, parking around the port fills up at weekends; with the pack transfer you arrive without hunting for a space.

  DEKA Alicante 2026 takes place on 31 October and 1 November 2026 at Muelle Live (Muelle 12 de Levante), Alicante. The formats are DEKA FIT, DEKA FIT Teams, DEKA MILE and DEKA MILE Teams, and the official entry starts at €45 (DEKA MILE Teams).

• Do I need experience to do a DEKA?

  No. DEKA MILE (160 m of running between zones) and DEKA STRONG (no running) are the way in. DEKA FIT is the full format, with a 500 m run before each of the ten zones.

• Can I compete in pairs?

  Yes, in the Teams formats: you compete with a partner and share the work of each zone.

• How do I get to DEKA Alicante from the airport?
