What makes it unique

Hosts the DEKA League by Weider final

DEKA is Spartan’s functional fitness race: 10 zones (row, SkiErg, sled, medicine ball, box jumps…) that are the same all over the world, so your time compares with any DEKA. What changes between formats is how much you run before each zone.

Saturday packs in almost everything: DEKA FIT for teams, DEKA FIT Age Group (whose first two heats are the men’s and women’s DEKA League by Weider final), the Elite, DEKA MILE and DEKA STRONG in the afternoon. Sunday belongs to the teams.

Competing on an island is a proper trip: a flight, a transfer to your accommodation, heats on Saturday from 8:00 until late afternoon and the journey home on Sunday. That is where the weekend gets complicated.

Tenerife has two airports: Tenerife South, with more flights from mainland Spain and the rest of Europe, and Tenerife North, with domestic connections. [Confirm the exact venue and the nearest airport.]

Without a car, getting around the island takes time; with the pack transfer you go from the plane to the hotel and on to the event without relying on local buses or a hire car.

• Do I need experience to do a DEKA?

  No. DEKA MILE (160 m of running between zones) and DEKA STRONG (no running) are the way in. DEKA FIT is the full format, with a 500 m run before each of the ten zones.

• Can I compete in pairs?

  Yes, in the Teams formats: you compete with a partner and share the work of each zone.

• Where is the DEKA League by Weider final held?

  At DEKA Tenerife 2026. The first two DEKA FIT Age Group heats on Saturday 21 November are the men’s and women’s final of the DEKA League by Weider, run on the same ten zones as every other DEKA.

• Does the pack include the race entry?

  Yes. Every Pulse pack, Essential or Total, includes the official race entry and bib for the format you choose. The pack then adds the services around it, such as hotel, transfer and nutrition, depending on the tier.

• Can I bring someone who is not competing?
