What makes it unique

Held in the halls of the old Fábrica de Armas arms factory

DEKA is Spartan’s functional fitness race: 10 zones (row, SkiErg, sled, medicine ball, box jumps…) that are the same all over the world, so your time compares with any DEKA. What changes between formats is how much you run before each zone.

In Toledo the event is indoors, in the halls of the University of Castilla-La Mancha’s Fábrica de Armas campus. Saturday is team day and Sunday is for individual DEKA FIT and DEKA MILE.

Many athletes come from Madrid and go back the same day, but competing early on Sunday and seeing Toledo on Saturday means staying the night. That is where the pack makes the difference.

The AVE links Madrid-Atocha and Toledo in about 33 minutes; from Madrid-Barajas airport it is around an hour by road. The campus is at avenida de Carlos III, 21, beside the river.

With the pack transfer you go from the station or from Madrid to the hotel and the event without relying on city buses.

• When is DEKA Toledo 2027?

  DEKA Toledo 2027 takes place on 6 and 7 March 2027 at Campus de la Fábrica de Armas (UCLM), Toledo. The formats are DEKA FIT, DEKA FIT Teams, DEKA MILE and DEKA MILE Teams, and the official entry starts at €50 (DEKA MILE Teams).

• Do I need experience to do a DEKA?

  No. DEKA MILE (160 m of running between zones) and DEKA STRONG (no running) are the way in. DEKA FIT is the full format, with a 500 m run before each of the ten zones.

• Can I compete in pairs?

  Yes, in the Teams formats: you compete with a partner and share the work of each zone.

• Is DEKA Toledo indoors?

  Yes. DEKA Toledo is held indoors, in the halls of the University of Castilla-La Mancha’s Fábrica de Armas campus on avenida de Carlos III, beside the river. The AVE from Madrid-Atocha takes about 33 minutes, so many athletes stay the night and see the city.

• Does the pack include the race entry?

  Yes. Every Pulse pack, Essential or Total, includes the official race entry and bib for the format you choose. The pack then adds the services around it, such as hotel, transfer and nutrition, depending on the tier.

• Can I bring someone who is not competing?

• What is the weather like in Toledo in early March?

  Cool in the morning and mild at midday, with highs of around 15 to 18 °C [approximate]. The event is indoors, but bring a warm layer for the wait and for walking around the old town on Saturday.
