What makes it unique

Indoors at IFEVI, next to the airport

DEKA is Spartan’s functional fitness race: 10 zones (row, SkiErg, sled, medicine ball, box jumps…) that are the same all over the world, so your time compares with any DEKA. What changes between formats is how much you run before each zone.

In Vigo the event is held indoors, in the hall of the Instituto Ferial (IFEVI) trade fair centre. Saturday is team day and Sunday is for individual DEKA FIT and DEKA MILE.

Vigo is a long way from much of mainland Spain: a flight or train, a bed nearby and the trip home on Sunday after you compete. Having it all sorted before you leave is what makes the weekend easy.

Our packs take care of every one of those pieces, so your only worry is the next zone.

IFEVI is on avenida do Aeroporto, a few minutes from Vigo-Peinador airport; the AVE arrives at Vigo-Urzáiz station, in the city centre.

With the pack transfer you go from the airport or the station to the hotel and to IFEVI without depending on taxis early on Sunday.

• When is DEKA Vigo 2027?

  DEKA Vigo 2027 takes place on 26 and 27 June 2027 at Instituto Ferial de Vigo (IFEVI), Vigo. The formats are DEKA FIT, DEKA FIT Teams, DEKA MILE and DEKA MILE Teams, and the official entry starts at €50 (DEKA MILE Teams).

• Do I need experience to do a DEKA?

  No. DEKA MILE (160 m of running between zones) and DEKA STRONG (no running) are the way in. DEKA FIT is the full format, with a 500 m run before each of the ten zones.

• Can I compete in pairs?

  Yes, in the Teams formats: you compete with a partner and share the work of each zone.

• Is DEKA Vigo indoors?

  Yes. DEKA Vigo is held indoors, in the hall of the Instituto Ferial de Vigo (IFEVI) on avenida do Aeroporto, a few minutes from Vigo-Peinador airport. If you come by train, the AVE arrives at Vigo-Urzáiz station in the city centre.

• Does the pack include the race entry?

  Yes. Every Pulse pack, Essential or Total, includes the official race entry and bib for the format you choose. The pack then adds the services around it, such as hotel, transfer and nutrition, depending on the tier.

• What is the weather like in Vigo at the end of June?

  Mild, with days of around 20 to 25 °C [approximate]. The event is indoors at IFEVI, so the weather only matters for the journey; Galicia can still bring a shower, so pack a light jacket.
